When and where is the Solarpunk Summit?

October 8–12, 2026 at Son's Blue River Camp, 2769 Sherrill Rd, Kingsbury, TX 78638. About 40 minutes from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and 1 hour from San Antonio International Airport.

Are day passes available?

Yes! Single-day passes (Thursday through Monday) and a Saturday + Sunday weekend pass are available on our Eventbrite page.

Is there parking? Is there a fee?

A parking pass is required for every vehicle, whether a one day pass ($25) or a full event pass ($50). This honors the landowners who allow us to use their land for parking. Add yours on Eventbrite, prepay via Venmo (@angel-Robinson-23) or PayPal (angelrobinson1@gmail.com), or pay at the gate. Already have a car camping pass? That covers your vehicle, so no separate parking pass is needed.

Can we camp in our car?

Yes. Car camping is available in a designated area for $150 for the full event (no power or water access), purchased on Eventbrite. Your car camping pass covers your vehicle's parking, so no separate parking pass is needed. No idling cars. Day or night!

Is RV camping allowed?

RV camping is limited due to space constraints. Inquire at info@r3zproductions.com with your vehicle size.

Do I need to sign anything before I arrive?

Yes. The venue requires every attendee to sign a waiver before entering the property, including one for each child accompanying you. Please sign before you arrive: app.waiverelectronic.com/render/splash/Blue-River-Camp

What are the gate hours?

Gates open Thursday, October 8 at 11 AM. Friday through Monday, gates are open 8 AM to 8 PM. Please do not arrive outside these hours; late arrivals pay a $50 gate fee. Bring photo ID for re-entry.

When does the event end?

Monday night camping is included with general admission. All attendees must be off the property by Tuesday, October 13 at 11 AM.

Do I have to camp?

No, though we recommend camping within the event container for the full experience. Staying off-site is absolutely fine.

How big is each campsite?

Primitive tent camping is community-based, with shared fire pits and tables.

Are campfires allowed?

Fires are allowed in existing venue fire pits only. Please check with a staff member before starting a fire.

What about cooking and grilling?

Glamping cabins, enhanced sites, and vendor spaces include grills. Glamping cabins also include refrigeration.

Will there be somewhere to store items securely?

No, there is no lockable storage on site. Plan accordingly.

Is there a lost and found?

Yes, there is a lost and found station on site.

Will there be food?

Yes! Our Community Kitchen serves attendees from morning to evening, every day: early riser breakfast 8:30–10 AM (chia pudding, overnight oats, fruit, yogurt, granola, boiled eggs), hot brunch 10–11 AM, build-your-own-bowl lunch 2–4 PM (hearty salads, grains, fresh veggies, vegan proteins, exciting sauces), and dinner 8–9:30 PM (curries, chili and cornbread, hearty soups, and more). Vegan and vegetarian options at every meal.

How do I get access to the Community Kitchen?

Kitchen access comes with your food donation: bring 5 to 10 lbs of fresh organic produce. Ticketed attendees receive the food donation sign-up link by email and in the community Telegram. We also recommend bringing food for your own personal preferences, and water in reusable containers.

Will there be alcohol sold?

No alcohol will be sold at Solarpunk Summit, and we discourage bringing it.

Is the Solarpunk Summit an all-ages event?

Yes! This is an all-ages event with kids' programming daily. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with proper documentation. No exceptions.

Is Solarpunk Summit for me?

How do I stay updated?

How can I participate or get involved?

Volunteer, host a workshop, host a focus camp, vend, perform, or nominate a speaker. Volunteers with tickets receive the shift sign-up link by email. To Volunteer email info@r3zproductions.com.

What does “leave no trace” mean?

You are responsible for removing everything you bring, and any Matter Out of Place (MOOP). Bring your own reusable bottles, cups, plates, and utensils (we do not provide or encourage disposables), plus trash bags to pack out your waste. Avoid small plastic bags, paper cups, styrofoam, and single-use bottles. Skip glitter, sequins, loose feathers, beads, body gems, and glued-on costume pieces. A mint tin makes a great pocket ashtray.

Are animals or pets allowed?

Non-service animals are strictly prohibited. Service animals require proper documentation ($75 penalty fee per pet without it) and all handlers must sign an animal waiver.

What is the photo policy?

By attending the Solarpunk Summit you consent to being filmed and photographed; your image, voice, and likeness may be used for promotional purposes. Photographers using 360-degree cameras, DSLRs, or detachable-lens cameras require media credentials: info@r3zproductions.com

What is the drone policy?

Drones and unmanned aerial vehicles are strictly prohibited without specific written permission, and will be confiscated for the duration of the event.
